Sting Rays and Popcorn

Since Sea World is our regular spot, Jack has been most intrigued with sting rays of all the different animals there. He likes to go look at them in the observation pool, and when Jeremy touches one, he says he touched it. (For my own documentation purposes, we moved to Schertz on March 17, 2012.)

So, he got a stuffed sting ray last weekend, and he likes to eat popcorn (even Orville Redenbacher at home) from his Sea World popcorn pail, which they refill for $1.79. Sweet! :)

In funny news, Jeremy said the phrase, "That's a humdinger," to Jack. Now Jack keeps talking about a humdinger. He talks about "red dingers, blue dingers, pink dingers, green dingers" even though he has no idea what he's talking about. Jeremy asked him if he knew what a humdinger was. He said, "It's at the gas pump." LOL

Also, Jack has a good grasp on manners and saying "please, thank you, excuse me, and you're welcome." He's a very appreciative boy when he gets something and repeatedly tells me how much he loves it. He just told me "I love my mah-bles," (marbles), which I bought him a few weeks ago.

Oh, and the biggest life news--he is pottying in the big potty in public restrooms. Last week in What-A-Burger, he said, "I gotta go home right now, Momma. I gotta go home!" while grabbing his crotch. I told him they have a potty here and rushed him to the toilet. He said, "I did not know that! I did not know!" ...Pretty funny. And most importantly, he is not waking up and drinking a chocolate milk baba because I'm done being a pushover. I would like him to retain as many teeth as possible until the appropriate time for them to fall out.

I'm Back... a couple years later.

Well, to say it's been a while since I've updated this blog would be an understatement. But with all the funny things Jack says these days at 33 months (almost three years old and I can't believe it), I figured I better start writing it all down. I certainly don't want to forget. I loved reading all these previous posts just now--I don't even remember when half of those things happened, so it's fun to remember and look at the pictures.
In the past few months, Jack has said some real doozies. From watching me shave my legs and asking, "Is that a rake?" to telling me the story of the Big Bad Wolf yesterday... "He blew them away. He shot a squirrel and deer with a bow and arrow. He went to the boat show. There's nice boats."
As I run across notes I've jotted down over funny things he says or new experiences, I will add them to the blog. My plan is to print it into a little book he can have to look at and read later on.
